Chocolate Banana Mug Cake

Have you heard of Goodful?  I’m obsessed.  If you follow them on facebook you will get these awesome video recipes that show you how to make an entire meal in a 5 second video. I can watch those things all day!!

When I came across a recipe for Chocolate Banana Mug Cake, I knew I had to try it.  It looked super easy to make, the ingredients were on the healthier side (although after a few tries I ended up changing them a bit) and it looked rich and decadent.

Carrot Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

I wanted the last post of 2016 to be a sweet one, so below please find an easy, healthy recipe for carrot raisin oatmeal cookies.  I made these a few days ago and brought them over to our friends’ house.  They were quickly devoured and got a huge thumbs up.

What I love about these cookies is that they can easily pass for a healthy snack.  The only sugar is 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup for the entire recipe!  The rest of the ingredients are good to go: oatmeal,  ceylon cinnamon, unsweetened applesauce, walnuts and carrots!

Product Review: Spice Trail Snacks

A few months ago I represented Instill Health at a local street fair.  I attend street fairs in an effort to spread the word about healthy eating, but my favorite part is meeting people and hearing about their particular journeys dealing with diet, health & wellbeing.

At this particular fair I met a woman named Brooke.  Brooke has a company that makes healthy, all natural snack food and approached me recognizing that our missions aligned.
